![]() I should have posted this last night but my wife had to use the computer to do some work on and then I got interested in something on TV.
Yesterday I cooked some Bottom Round Chuck Steaks with gravy to serve over rice. One of our favorites!!! The wife made a potato salad and I made some candied yams, the other veggie was canned Lesuer peas. Since this is a well loved and eaten dish around here I made a big batch in the oval Magnalite roaster. Started off by browning the meat. Seasoned the meat as usual with granulated garlic, onion salt and black pepper. ![]() After browning the meat, add the onions to deglaze the good stuff from the bottom of the pot. ![]() After onions are tender add water to simmer down until good and tender. ![]() Done and ready to enjoy! ![]() Since it was breezy and cool I decided to light the old firepit to enjoy the aroma of burning wood. ![]() Of course it was time to enjoy an ice cold Abita Andygator. ![]() Candied yams done! ![]() I almost forgot. I decided to make a batch of homemade rolls. ![]() This was such a good meal last night I had it again tonight and enjoyed it as much if not more. I hate calling it leftovers because it was so darn good. ![]() |
