Not much but a read

After being locked in since new years eve there was a break today. I have a trip inshore tomorrow so I ran out to see what was happening. After this cold snap I had no idea what to expect. The water at the marina and in red pass was 42.6. There was an incoming tide and as I got closer to the gulf the temp got a little better. At the end of the pass I had 51.0 temps to 52.7 as I moved around. Went from dirty water to clean. I moved to a place that looked good but soon I was looking to get out of there.

These guys were all over the place. There has to be fish there but with the commotion they were causing I had no chance. One of them even went under my boat in the shallow water and I felt it. Just hit my camera button and got this.

I tried to get to another place but as I ran the wagon wheel there was a Crane barge and tug doing work on a gas pipe line and had the pass blocked so I could not get to where I wanted to look. I saw what I wanted and the boat ran fine so I headed back in. time on the water about an hour but nice. I will be running in the other direction and hoping the fish are there tomorrow. One of the guys found a few today where I want to fish. Once at the dock as I was loading my boat Mike Pittman came in from offshore with some nice wahoo.

He had a dozen and one blackfin. Each guy had 2 wahoo to bring home. After cleaning then there was over 300 pounds of wahoo meat.

Now that they are in I wish I had an offshore charter for tomorrow. Wait the only reason I have an inshore charter is because their offshore trip was cancelled due to weather. Can't win them all.

I hope to fill some offshore days while the bite is hot.

Life is Good!

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
