Default The hammock in the kayak

Kayak fished the hammock area in vb today with a buddy. Clear calm water. Beautiful day to be outside. Ended up with one red for the grill tonight. Caught on a corky.

Nice day to be out there, how was the wind? I went out there yesterday and it was horrible, wind was bad and no bites.

Is there a back way to get to the Hammock or did you have to go around the point? I guess with that North wind you were able to get there okay in a yak if you went to the point and took a left. Someone told me some years ago that there is a back way to get there but I didn't get the directions...

Before you get to camps, on the left there is a cut with a place to launch and a canal that will provide a lot more protection than launching at the park, if you want to fish the hammock. This was the first time I've launched there. When you pop out into the bay there is a rock pile that you might be able to pick a few up at. Hope this helps
