Default Pl & bl 1/11

So after spending the last week in Indiana visiting the family in -14 degree temps (actual temp, -40 with wind chill), to say that I was stir crazy and itching to fish is an understatement.

Once a year I bring my autistic brother back from Indiana and he stays with us for a couple months. He has heard all about the recent trips I have taken with Cripley so we decided to get him out on the pond to see what we could get into.

We launched at PL around 7 in search for some winter sow's. We managed a rat red and a couple nice trout in about 10-15 ft. Action seemed slow for most in the area so around 10 we decided to throw the boat on the trailer and head to Hebert's.

Once on the water we knew, as everyone does right now, where we could get some redfish action. I knew my brother would have the time of his life!

We hit the spot and it was on from the first cast. He decided he was going to "team" up with Cripley and it was those two vs me. Cripley would hook em and Ryan (brother) would work em in. The whole time with a HUGE grin on his face.

I am very fortunate in life and have had many memorable moments with my brother but watching him work on those redfish was right up there with the best of them.

As we headed home after the trip, all he wanted to do was call back home and tell everyone "he would show them how to fish"

Great memorable trip and thanks Cripley for letting him tag along! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1389580762.712912.jpg
