Default BL Solo 1/26

Thought Sunday afternoon might be good. Was watching water temp and figured it might get up around 53, or so. Figured I could try to find some reds if the trout weren't biting. Ended up finding some trout willing to bite. They were concentrated on one little spot of one little reef. If I moved off, no bite. Must have made ten drifts for 15 fish. Avocado Skull Draggerz. Fun day.

Don't think it didn't cross my mind. It would have been a hell of a lot easier. But I was almost positive that the resulting "Bow Slap" would have been a buzz kill. So, I opted for the ten drifts.

To me it seems like if your on a drift even in very light winds and you drop anchor its almost like they know everytime and stop biting instantly. pisses me off

Yup. They've really got to be feeding intense for the anchor to not ruin it IMO. I've only had that problem in BL. Never in Venice or grand isle. They definitely spook more easily over here.
