Default Dularge Trout Report 3-29-14

The latest in Dularge on trout fishing is that they have finally begun showing up again. In a select few spots they are stacked up and a couple guys lucked up and landed on an early hot bite yesterday. In the areas between the marsh and the big lakes is where you will find them, using the main arteries connecting the two. I had a group of 4 guys in town for a bachelor party weekend and all of them were fisherman. They started slinging in trout right off the bat but the problem was most were throwbacks. This is a good sign to me because it means the small trout survived the harsh winter. We caught fish steadily til about 8:30 and managed 15 keepers. Then the wind picked up and as conditions deteriorated so did the bite. I burned 30 gallons and ran all over Dularge looking for reds or something willing to bite. Couldn't even catch a hardhead! I'm glad we got out there early despite the hangovers and had a few hours of fun. Lol. I know I've been saying this but it's only going to get better from here. I will be trout fishing most of April and already have 14 trips on the books! For your good time on the water give me a call! Capt Rob 225-776-9820ImageUploadedByTapatalk1396199361.940975.jpg
