Default VBay

Well I got down to ICY at around 8am... Put Finchaser in the water.. Loaded up ice chest, rods, tackle etc..

Cruise on out to the bay>>> Oh No.. White caps with the nice steady SW wind..

Clouds everywhere.. Get half way to Redfish Pt.. Realized I left Crabbing gear in truck..

Turn around go back to dock.. Get the stuff.. Head back out.. Wasn't conducive to going outside..

Headed to Hog Bayou weir for a few Crabs.. Water was coming out..

Put the turkey necks out in a couple of nets and 3 crab lines..

A lot of big females.. Water temp was 72 deg.. I culled about 12 Males and 12 females..

3-4 Big dirty males.. Clean males were really MT as their claws and swimmers were falling off when I handled them..

Going to boil about 6 for me on the stove with all the fixing and drink a few cold one's.

Watch a little TV later..

Thks

Biggun

Hey Bigun I saw you crabbing out there yesterday. Nice catch and very nice boat. My son and I were headed to the weir but when I saw you crabbing I didn't want to crowd you so I whipped it around in the canal and we went to another spot. I was in the 22ft white blazer bay. The wind was blowing out of the SW a lot harder than I expected it would be so we fished a semi-protected area on the West bank. We didn't tear um up but we were able to land a couple. It's a start until the river stage falls and wind dies down. It was still nice to get out there during the week.
