Default jetties questions

When going after the big nasties that swim around there. Reds sharks occasional jack do you prefer a heavy mono or braid? I have plenty of wire leaders made up. My pops would rather catch big fish than 100 trout so I plan to make some more trips to get him back on the water.

Nice cover story I know deep down inside you want to catch those big nasties too! Hey I'll be right there with you. I need revenge for the last unknown monster I hooked!

We go with braid and have moved from 30 lb to 50 lb on most of our spinning rods and up to 80 lb in our level wind reels. Landing stuff at the jetties means you often gotta horse them away from the rocks or the pilings.

Power pro. We've tried some others. Always came back to power pro. I order the 1500 yard spools now.
