Default The Trip That Almost Wasn't

With the forecasted blowout I decided to make the call and cancel this trip. Not to be reckoned with, my customers from Texas persisted that we go anyway! Agreeing with them that a day on the water is better than a day at the dock, onward we went! I had a second boat running today with Capt. Travis Miller as well. Trout fishing was out of the question so off to the red and drum holes we go. Soaking shrimp was the plan but after a couple of hours and no luck, we switched gears and changed zip codes. The duck ponds were alive and waiting with brilliantly colored redfish willing to bite. Drifting with the wind, we threw spinner baits along the grass beds and the box began to fill. The guys fought with 10 big brutes and we called it quits around 2:00! Great day to be alive! Big thanks to Capt. Travis Miller for running the second boat and filling up the customers box with reds and drum! Capt. Rob 225-776-9820
