Default Control of family finances . .

A friend of our family passed away and visited with us . . During our conversations he disclosed that he left the financial side of the marriage to his wife . . He got two calls from credit cards that he owed 11thou . . He was not obligated to pay . . It was his wife's . .

Revisit the family financial procedures . .

Sorry for your friends loss. Like him my wife handles all of our finances. If something were to happen to her I wouldn't know who to pay until they started calling me. My wife prints my paychecks, signs my paychecks, and deposits my paychecks. I rarely see my paychecks. I'm comfortable with the way it is. Granted its not a way of life for everyone but there is much about us that isn't for everyone.

My wife and I are pretty much the same. I put a lot into 401k and retirement, bills are all auto Draft and she just kind of manages it all but she can squeeze blood from a turnip and has a master's in math...

X2 bro. My wife keeps an eye on every penny. She is easy going though. If I want something, I tell her and she says ok or not right now. I have plenty of toys so a "not right now" doesn't bother me. When I can she'll say "ok now".

My wife is good looking and I think the makes her bad with money. She has a seperate account that she buys groceries and whatnot with. She raises our 3 small kids and I think that has her brain melted to say the least.
