Default GI was a bust

Brought a good friend of mine that has had a few bumps in road lately down to Grand Isle this weekend to try and help him get his mind off of things. Planed on catching some fish but had a hard time finding anything. We started the morning in Lake Laurie and fished all the way to Wilkinson bay Saturday and managed one short red fish. We ended up partaking is several adult beverages Saturday night so we did not wake up until about 7:30 Sunday. The heads were a little bad and we said screw fishing. Packed up the camp and got on the road. When we got to Golden Meadow we decided to put the boat in and make a quick run to Catfish Lake. Started on the east side with dirty water so we crossed over to the west side and the conditions were a lot better. He made the first cast and when his bait hit the water I saw a red run back towards the boat. Threw a Voodoo shrimp in front of him and landed the first keeper fish of the weekend. We stuck to the same area for about two hours and managed 5 keeper reds and caught about 20 that were short. Not a bad ending to a rough weekend.

Caminada pass was on fire.

Some friends took their kids to the pass to hit one of my recommended spots with cracked crab. They boated 18 bull reds and 3 bull drum. Arms will be sore for a week.

Yep I noticed the 100 boats in the pass. The bull reds don't interest me. I will stop when the kids are with me but that is about the only time is will fish for them.

Pm me your new number. I tried calling you several months ago and it said it was not a valid number.

When we rode by there there were boats in every one of the spots you posted, lol
We just kept riding but wished we would have stopped and hooked a few big ones just for the fight.
