Default Fishing this weekend

Who's going fishing this weekend? The forcast says it going to rain, but I think thats all North of I10.

Dont know which way to go! Vermilion bay or Big Lake?

Or should I save my gas?

Dad and brother went Tuesday to big lake, came home with 1 flounder. Vermillion bay was looking better at the beginning of the week, not sure lately though, haven't heard any reports to speak of. We were planning a trip, but Mother's Day got in the way...

Shouldn't the reef and near shores rigs be picking up fornspeck this time of the year?

I think it will pick up when the water quality gets better. Muddy and fresh cant be good.

Over the last couple of weeks there's been spotty areas with good water in the bay. If you can find where that is, shrimp and cut mullet seem to be what's working right now.

Yup, heading out late Saturday (11am) to try and hit the falling tide. Clean water will be hit and miss. cut mullet is best for dirty water.

Supposed to be pretty windy so, I'm probably gonna stay in. Thought about P-Train, Rigolets or Delacroix.

Just checked again. SE winds 10-15 knots. T-storms in the morning into the afternoon for the Shell Beach area. Def. staying home!

winds look calm, I'm thinking about going to big lake, but with all the sorry posts, I don't know whats going to happen. I see Henderson took a little rise today, so the fishing there is probably back to crap as usual
