Default 6/7/2014 Googinville!!

Those that fish a lot know the feeling when a boat pulls up right where you are catching and shut down your bite. Sometimes you bite your tongue and other time you tell the guy thanks for nothing. Some say guides think they own the water while some do give us a bad name just as some weekend warriors give all weekend warriors a bad name. The Googins were out in full force Saturday. Keith and Chad joined me on the Bluewave. It was a day break bite on double rigged Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad. The trout wanted a little pop in the retrieval. The bigger girls played early then when the masses showed up the trout shrunk. With all the boat traffic the bite turned to minnows. With the bite at a stand still and it getting hot we called it a day with 50 in the K2 along with a few white trout and a handful of channel mullet. Thanks Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.
