Whatever you do, don't let saltwater touch that reel. I learned my lesson about pinnacle early

What pinnacle reels?
I've got two of the older pro series. The goldish ones. Been having them for years. First two reels I ever bought and I still use them. They are my favorites and I've been using them in saltwater with no problems Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There's plenty of cheap reels out there that do the job. For instance I used Pfleuger presidents for a few years of torture, leaving them in the boat for a week at a time in the sun and rain, never cleaning them, banging them up....and they've done great and haven't had any performance issues. I just got a new Revo S and honestly prefer my old presidents when it comes to feel....I've had a fair share of issues with the revo in the handful of trips I've taken since I got it.
