Default Wooden boat festival, no haynies??

Went to the wooden boat festival in madisonville today and did not see a haynie anywhere. They are missing a great opportunity to advertise the brand.

Seems like most are off the bandwagon since Chris raised guide prices and now makes people go through Scott and not directly through him anymore. Price went up, guide support went way down.

its funny how you mention lack of haynies, the other day i saw a boat in BL that i had never seen, nor had i heard of, but it was a bad to the bone design, so i checked them out online and from what it looks like it looks like a pretty cool boat, its called a Simmons Custom Boat or SCB.... do y'all have any thoughts of it or have ever heard of it? looks like a great rig for shallow water and bay fishing...

They are sweet looking boats. Fast boats. Out of Texas. Never been in one though.

You signed on in 2013....so you missed a capt from Texas who had an SCB. He and "W" struck up a colorful friendship...heck I think they still keep in touch!

Yep. It was always all about the money. They are nice boats. I had one but they are now more expensive than several mid range brands. I can't see paying 60k for one.

60k won't even get you started on a SCB. They are very sweet boats. I would love to have a Recon model.

They are by far one of the nicest boats I've seen on line. i agree with Goooh i don't want to own many boats but that one is on my list
