Do you buy into this? Ive come across a few web sites that show "best fishing days" accoroding to the moon phase.

What do you know about fishing and the moon phase?

i know the bass spawn is heavily related to moon phases. I usually catch a little better if there is not a fool moon at night though, if that helps at all (specs and bass)

Over several years I've caught almost all of my biggest trout in the week before a full moon in February thru May.

Other than that I follow major and minor feeding times which are based on moon position more than moon phase.

I get out and fish when my schedule allows. I almost always catch fish.

In Colorado, the trout fishing could be slow the day following a full moon on a clear night.

But in Louisiana, the fish are almost always biting.

I fish trout from Empire to Venice and the three days after the full and new moon are the absolute best time to catch numbers and size in April,May and June, that's a guarantee water and weather conditions permitting!!

I would second this for the GI/Fourchon area. I actually prefer the new moon to the full
