FlagUS High Adventure Airboat Ride

My daughter is getting married in June and the groom's father is wanting to plan an event with local pizzaz for the groomsmen and fathers. It is a mix of 8 to 10 guys from the ages of 16 up to 45. No drinking or strippers will be involved. Many of them are from West Virginia and have never spent much time in Louisiana. We were considering an Airboat tour, but wanted to try to plan one that was a little more adventurous than simply riding in an airboat. I don't know anyone that owns their own airboats and have looked at several local airboat tour sites but I can't really tell from many of them if there are any that are more on the wild side than the other. The date we are planning for is Thursday, June 25 2014, and preferably within about 2 hours from Lafayette, La. Does anyone have any tips or preferences on any of the local guides? Other recommendations for something locally adventurous is welcome also. Thanks in advance for the help.

I think you should go bowfishing. youll get the airboat experience with the blast of shooting fish too. I would highly recommend that

Do you know what kind of licenses would be needed for the out of state guys, and do you know if the bow fishing charters provide the bow equipment for the trip?

They will provide all the equipment and I think an out of state license is only around $10 or so if fishing with a licensed guide.

$17.00 for a one day license, and they usually do provide bows. This would be a great idea, unless you are wanting to go out and do doughnuts and jump levees.

Idk of any charter that doesn't supply bows. As far as which to choose it will let the other guys chime in cuz idk any on that end of the state. Leeville has some great ones if that's not too far for you. And the licenses wouldn't be much at all. It'd be a blast
