Keeping an eye on it myself. Westerly winds this week but has not cleared up any yet. And like speck-chaser said when tide is out it's even farther out.

the ATch River is still around 15ft, so freshwater is still displacing saltwater in the bay. I will be a while before the bay turns over and becomes salty. The salinity is 0.5PPT, it needs to be around 4 - 5 PPT. I tried crabbing at Gordy and fishing the deep holes around Worm Bayou and Lake Tom and basically scratched at both yesterday.

These west winds can only do so much with the river back on the rise. South end of Tiger shoals has been producing. With the Red river cresting on Monday its gonna spill off into the Atchafalaya. You can count on that screwing things up pretty well. I think the Atchafalaya is suppose to rise another foot and half by the end of the week.

That is very true! He's the king of Vbay. I remember all his reports from Acadianafishing.com. Always a limit of reds or a bunch of catfish or even bass.
