Per google earth......

from Kelso Bayou [where you come out to the ship channel from Spicers] down to the coast line = 17 miles.

So if you put in at Spicers and fish out near where the "cut" are in the rocks it would be about 18.5 mile distance.

FYI...... from the north end of Turner's Bay down to the south end of Big Lake is about 15.5 mile.

Thanks, not at all familiar with the area. Is there a public ramp in Hackberry or what is the closest ramp to the jetties.

I believe the ferry ramp is still closed. You would have to ride the ferry and use east side ramp or just launch in hackberry.

If you don't want to cross the ferry you have West Cove ramp

On the West Side you could also launch at Hog Island or the Nature Trail... both ways measure out about 12.5 miles to the Jetties... which would cut off a little distance vs. launching at Spicer's.

(Nature Trail you would have to cut across West Cove)
