Eye inserts fell out mine after a year. Moved on to Sarge to keep my blood pressure down and curtail my drinking.

I have a sarge wingman paired with a core that I laid on the front deck yesterday while trying to net someone's fish ( which I never do ) I looked back and my rod goes flying over the side at 30 mph. I was just about to start crying and I see the rod floating about 20 yds in front the boat. I troll up to grab it and Ive still got an impressive gaftop on the other end. I get the beautiful specimen in the boat and beat her lifeless and continue on with my day.

I guess what I'm getting at is do all the sarge custom rods float or did I just get real lucky?

You lucky it wasn't a helium rod. Friend and I were at weeks bay and he went to set the hook and rod fell out his hands. Look up and his rod and reel was floating up in the air with a gafftop in tow. Deer hunter found it in Lydia a few weeks later once it ran out of helium. Bear or coon got that gafftop

They have a Facebook page, which has their contact info but I don't think they are managing it. There have been a couple of people posting on their page trying to get in touch with them and got no response. But hey, they have their address so maybe you could drive over there and raise some hell!

Yup! It can only be a hobby. Never will be a viable business unless you can mass produce and sell a crap load of rods. But then they are no longer "custom". Many have tried and many have failed.

Yeah my buddy lives close by there so going to send it with him, would really be mad had I bought it and not won it at a sc event!!!! But still should not have broken third trip out with it, cause I take extra care with all my rods not to damage them in anyway

This is why I buy all my rods at Academy. They take them back in pieces without a receipt.

The mangers there shut me down everytime I've tried to return a rod. They even gave me a look like "are you kidding me dude!"
