Hummm....I usually fish out of Maryland atleast twice a year. I guess I will have to fill this out also....

Yep, just Maryland, but it is part of a NOAA research project.
That means it can go down the coast too.
They are just getting recreational fishermen to do their work,
and making us pay for it too.

You can skew the numbers, unless they are at every launch,
marina and back yard with a dock/lift to check.

There will be no charge for the registry until 2011, at which time it is expected to cost about $25 for those required to pay. All fees collected through the Registry will go to the U.S. treasury, not a specific program.

I usually go to Maryland 4 or 5 times a year for some training. Usually 2 of those trips I will get some people together and charter out a boat and go catch some "Rockfish". Our training facility has some waterfront property that they lease out to boat owners so it is convient to charter a trip.

I sure hate to see an extra cost added on to the trip per person though...
Because I like to fish and I'm going to pay it...
