My husband is actually the one that stumbled upon the remains. He is by far NOT adventurous. He was wade fishing and happened to see some bones in the marsh....couldn't tell if they were human so moved some of the marsh grass and mud around and found the rest.

A friend of ours said they saw details of the find on a LA news station but couldn't remember which one; I googled "skeltetal remains Chandeleur" trying to find it and this site was one that popped up. So I read yall's comments.
