Default Trip Planning?

Not sure if this has been discussed lately or not, but I was just wondering what factors do you consider when planning a fishing trip?

Do you go simply because the weather's too good to pass up? Or do you try to go during a specific tide or moon phase?

Right now I just go when I have time, but I just wanted to pick a few of yall's brains about the topic.

TIA

gotcha...but if you could explain more please.

Hypothetically speaking...what would be the best scenario, i.e moon and tide?

I always like a good 1-2 foot tide, then on the astro table at least a 50 or above..... That astro table can really help out alot, those to things prolly are the most important to me, is you get LSM they have both charts...........

I look for a Saturday or a Sunday.............
It kills me when all my buddies in the plants can go during the week.
Or they wait for the perfect conditions and then go.

Of course, I haven't worked nights or weekends in 26 years.

If the weather is good and the tide is moving, I don't look at the feeding times.
You can get them off of any good GPS, but they are not always correct.
I have caught fish when the feeding times said it was not good and barely caught
when they said it was prime feeding time.

I have had some of my best days when the "predictions" said to stay home, and I have had some of my worst days when the "predictions" said get out there leave the poles home and just open the ice-chest because they are going to be jumping in.
