Smokin My Big Red

He guys this in my biggest red to date. Caught it at Halter's Island down the Atchafalaya River. It bit on dead shrimp in about 1-2 foot of water, but the crazy part is that it pulled my pole completely out the boat and into the water while i was rigging up my wife's pole. So I used her pole and dragged the bottom with it and luckily hooked my string. Pulled it back up to the boat, pulled my rod and reel back up, frantically reeled in until I felt some tension and set the hook on that bad boy, then the fight was on!!!!!! 45 minutes of stipping line to get this guy in the boat, what an adrenaline rush!!!!! I did not have a scale or a tape measure to measure it, so I do not know how big it was or (for the haters how small it was). Just thought I would share this with you guys.

I dont know exactly what it weighed, But I guessed somewhere from 28-33 lbs. But then again my adrenaline was pumping, so I was in no state to be guessing weights.
