yesterday i had an old regular bass customer of mine that shows up on a regular basic with his bass rods to be refurbished, well he said he wanted to bring over about 10 or 12 on sat and leave them with me for the normal tip replacement and guide replacement and so on, well he shows today and we are talking and looking thru what he has and what needs to be done, but he keeps one for the last then hesays this one i just need the tip replaced it is still doing well after 10 years of hard bass fishing the local tourney's and i think the tip is bad well i look at it and say naaa it's just come loose, all it needs is to be reglued, then he says to me do you even reconize this rod and i said no have i repaired it before, he and well yes kinda back in the year 02 i won the gator bass masters tourney at lorange lake and first place was this billystix custom spiral i aint even beliving this then he even tells me that i was just starting to try my hand at the spiral and was not sure how well it would work or if it even would cast"it was my first spiral to go public" i had built several just messing around but this was the very first one ever to go public, and let me tell you brother this rod is just so not built right the spiral is totally not even near right, so we talked a bit and he told me that he loves the way it cast and that he has caught some heavy bass even up in the 9 lb size on it, man this is just so wrong, i looked at this rod it's an aboration totally, pretty but good grieef is it totally just not right, any way here it is hope you guys enjoy the story and hope you enjoy looking at the very first billystix custom spiral
