its not like switching shooting arms will make your aim any worse than it already is

Call the Lake Charles Gun Club and find someone that is right handed and shoots left. Some good shooters out there that might have tips to switch sides and salvage the season. Might be able to rub it in your older brothers nose in the end.

My dad just had a similar or the same surgery...(I'm not a doctor ok!) but expect a little over a month in a arm sling and PT as well for at least six weeks...

i had a complete reconstruction a few years back... at the time the doctors told me it was the most painful surgery know to man (he wasnt lying). they gave me an epidural before the surgery. i had to sleep in a chair for 6 weeks with my arm strapped around my stomach. I WOULD ADVISE AVOIDING SURGERY IF POSSIBLE...my shoulder still hurts to this day and after a good day of duck hunting it is extremely sore

X-rays, MRI's, and PT are stepping stones to satisfy the Insurance Company. The only way for a Doctor to know is to open it up and look. Been there done that. Went in for a small repair and the Doc found out it was massive.
Rotator Cuff is a challenging recovery, but once completed, very much worth it. You are looking at the short term, worrying about one season of duck hunting out of your entire life time. Try looking at long term affects of never having it done or putting it off until the it gets much worse and full recovery is NOT possible. Just sayin'. Best of Luck! |

I don't think I'm getting out from under the knife, they just want to make sure there aren't any surprises when they get in there. |
