I've ridden on one. It had a 275 suzuki 4 stroke. It topped out at 61-63. I'm not sure I'd only go with a 225 on that boat. It would be fine, but probably wouldn't eclipse the top end you are getting now.
IMO, just sell the whole set-up you have now, boat/motor/trailer/ etc and start over. If it were me, i'd put the 250 Yamaha SHO or the 275 Verado on the HO.
