I've ridden on one. It had a 275 suzuki 4 stroke. It topped out at 61-63. I'm not sure I'd only go with a 225 on that boat. It would be fine, but probably wouldn't eclipse the top end you are getting now.

IMO, just sell the whole set-up you have now, boat/motor/trailer/ etc and start over.

If it were me, i'd put the 250 Yamaha SHO or the 275 Verado on the HO.

My best friend has one and I've fished out of MANY times. Great boat. Plenty of room, smooth dry ride, and it very comfortable to fish out of. He has the 250 pro xs on the back. i wouldn't go with any less than that. Very light boat, but if you go with the 225 you might be really disappointed. I'm sure you could sell that motor to someone looking to upgrade their horsepower.
