yep medical oxygen has to have a purity of around 99.6% pure O2, which is the normally the same as "industrial grade" or welding grade.

Now you have to have a prescription for medical oxygen...its just like getting a prescription of antibiotics etc...

I sell med o2 and we are regulated by the state and the fda. Lots of paperwork and bs but it protects the patient.

He could could have a small cylinder filled with industrial O2. Just need proof of ownership of the bottle to get it filled.

no prob its part of my job...I knew you have been around medical oxygen being with the fire dept (correct me if you were an emt!)
