Caught my current biggest last year 5 lbs 11 oz. Middle of winter 2 days after a front with a high pressure sitting over me. As well as my biggest bass 6 lbs 3 oz last year. Same situation.

Fish still eat in high pressure. ESP the big ones

Maybe it's because I've taken on a different style fishing.

But do fish not bite in weather that is not enjoyable to humans?

Because I have caught fish in all of the weather situations that are no-no s to average fishermen

Young grasshopper, I often fish by 1 rule..Life is too short to only hunt and fish only the pretty days..
But they older and smarter i'm getting, i'm starting to learn that sometimes, it just aint worth it.

The wise one has spoken!

when you fish to fill your freezer weather plays a role. when you fish for the love of the game being on the water is enough.

Cold, rain, windy. Auburn & Alabama on TV might be a better option with left over Thanksgiving food and beer.
