in the Fl panhandle they love mullet, they castnet for mullet like we castnet for shrimp lol....I've had some great tasting mullet.. but i've also had some that taste like mud there too, I think the trick to it is FRESH, as in same day you catch em you eat em....they even got the "mullet festival" in niceville,fl.

I've never ate mullett, but i'll try it. I mean when i was growing up my grandpa ate anything that wouldn't eat him first. I can remember him eating raw blackbird eggs straight out the nest at our lease in sweetlake.

Ate mullet last year at our family reunion in Alabama...Orange beach area. Castnetted a ton of mullet fried em up. They weren't bad, kinda fishy but I had plenty of beer and ketchup!

yea ketchup saves the day with fried mullet.i try not to knock stuff till i try it either but i dont even eat raw chicken eggs.fried blackbird eggs anyone?
