i guide 59 days a year in a freshwater marsh south of lake arthur. i blow a $40 call and killed 389 mallards last year. It's more knowing when to call than sounding exactly like a duck and $140 call will not help you kill more birds. In Louisiana we kill mostly grays, teal, wigeon, and pintails, so a whistle is better most of the time anyway Today 07:05 PM

And yes really a good grey duck imitation with a mallard call and a whistle is all we need here anyway...Its just so bad a.. when you turn them suckers with the ol quacker

Later in the year all I mostly blow is that 'high roller' call that Primos makes. Well worth the 15 bucks.
