Here is a few tips .
If the owner wont let you test run ....run away Always do a compression check , bad compression ....run away Ask plenty of questions about boat such as..use,maintenance,any problems (past,present)......owner dont give good answers...run away Remember just cause it looks good dont mean it aint junk..Take your time and you will find your boat. |

i have a mako. havent had any problems with it except the saltwater messing up the trolling motor plug in front. but just got better plug-in. found it used and got a good deal on it. just have to look around. plus i cant take it in fresh water where most of the big saltwater boats prolly wont be going bc i like to bass/crappie fish to. so great boat for me.

I have a Mako 241 and love it. Plenty of fishing space. Big front deck and lots of room to fish 4 ppl and not be in each others way at all. Only negative thing is it doesnt have a rod box. Would be nice to be able to leave the rods in it at the stall. Hope you can find a good deal. Found mine brand new for 27,000.

does mako still make that boat? I remember seeing one in VBay one day, but I can't find them online and have never seen one for sale |

I'm pretty sure they do not. Must have not sold a whole lot of that model. Good boat if you can find one.

I wish they'd start making them again. Makos have a good price tag on them, they aren't outrageously expensive |

I Don't think I have seen another mako on biglake. May just be that I avoid the weekends.

I really like my Frontier. Very dry and comfortable ride.

Looking to down size, I have a 22ft with a 200 Suzuki 4-stroke and would like to get into a smaller rig, something like you have. We may be able to work a deal? e-mail sxsimon@bop.gov. Use this contact

I do love Bill Kenner's new line of boat, esp the Frontier. Seems to work well for everything. |

I have owned 2 Mako 1901's in the past. I thought they were great boats and had no problems or issues with either one. Would buy another one in the future if the opertunity presents itself.

Go check out my post from a few months ago. H22B-ss is a sweet hull, gives a good range from the Marsh to the gulf. Handled chop beyond my expectations. Although, if you don't do much marsh fishing/shallow water, I would go with a Blazer Bay or equivalant. 21' or better? Just my 2 cents

The Mako 241 Inshore is the same boat as the Blazer Bay 2400.
