I have a husqvarna 54" with a 24hp kohler and I love it. I cut 1.9 acres in 45 minutes. Great on gas too.

Love my Gravely. It's been through hell. My wife thinks its an atv at mudfest and a stump grinder. Cut 3 acres and never a problem in 2 years.

A little over 2 1/2 acres and it is mostly smooth with a few bumps here and there.

The gravely im looking at is also residental but is a 52'' and comes with a 24 hp kawasaki and the bad boy comes with a 27 hp kohler. As far as price range id like to keep it under $6,000 and both are close to that. They sell bad boy here in lafayette at Congress Outdoor Power Equipment and the gravely i looked at was at Southland on Jonston street. After tax and everything the Gravely is $6,046.92 & the Bad Boy is $5,398.92
We get ours serviced at southland. Always pretty quick plus you can see expected finish date and progress online.

Southland has been the number 1 and 2 Gravely dealer in the country for the past 10 to 12 years. Great people!

Your in Lafayette so you have two choices if you don't want to travel for service. They all break and there are a lot of good brands out there, find a friendly dealership. Congress Outdoor or Southland Engine only ones left in Lafayette. Congress Outdoor would be my choice.
