I have no doubts if they would let us fish snapper in the cooler months we can catch the box of fish I had in 60' of water. I have learned that those big fish do not like water temps that high in the shallows so I run for minimal 80' depths. It's worth the extra run time, but you gotta pick your days when in a bay boat.
