I absolutely can not wait until I can hear back from the LA schools I'm applying to. My wife and I would pack up and move tomorrow if we could. This is the only speckled trout I can catch up here...

Coldest it got one day was -35 . 2 days later it was 40 ...over a 70 degree change in 24 hrs!! Most days it was about 10-20 degrees though. I think 3 out of 10 of us had to be evacuated on horse back due to frost bite . No fires! Just a Coleman white fuel stove for cooking / melting ice for drinking water

FishHunter, beautiful country you livn' in! My favorite winter hangout is Big Sky! I ski there once a year, usually in late March...Bridger Bowl also. Bozeman MT along with Missoula are great towns I enjoy visiting. Glad to have you coming back down! Leave some powder up there before you move!Lone_Peak,_Big_Sky,_Montana.jpg

I did my undergrad schooling in Missoula and was there for about 4 years. I like the town but hate all the liberal tree hungers that live there. I was extremely happy to get done with school and move back home.

LMAO!!!! Man you're right! I have a great friend that is an ex lawyer from Washington DC that teaches Constitutional Law in Missoula. He is as liberal, tree huggin Obaminite as you can find (hypocrite!)! Great skier though. I guess college towns attract these types!

When you move down here those types are an endangered species. We managed to get most of them to move to Seattle and San Francisco.

I just used my4 wheeler to plow a 6' drift off my grandparents garage apron so they could get out and go to town. The state road department was using a front end loader to move drifts off of the highway on the way to work this morning and I ended up having to take a different route because I couldn't bust through a drift across the road! I'm sick of winter and we still have a good 2.5 months left...

That's a lot of snow and you did a good deed.

So is there any hunting season still open up there?

Pheasant season closed jan 1st, duck/goose season just closed the 11th and wolf season is open until feb 28th. Still have a wolf tag in my pocket that I need to fill. Coyote still have good fur and I plan on gettin out to kill some and make some money. Hopefully this weekend. They should b hungry with the snow and cold weather. Black bear season opens April 15th but the hunting usually isn't good until the grass starts greening up but snow has to melt before that will happen
