The myth than big trout won't eat shrimp is among the more misguided theories in the sport. Big trout are lazier and slower than the smaller ones. If a shrimp presents itself easily, it'll eat it.
Certainly it would rather eat a big fish to sustain itself for a while, but it's going to eat what is available to it, be it a two inch shrimp or eight inch mullet. |

Not saying he didn't catch it on rod reel, but this guy is a commercial net fisherman. And won't even put a rod in the boat unless he's going offshore.
