"W"....again I agree. Different situations call for different tactics. The bigger trout are often down near the bottom......so if you are catching dinks.......let the bait fall to the bottom or cast off to the side of where the dinks are hitting.

One trip on BL......I had caught several nice trout by jigging at a "medimun" speed. On one cast I got several "bumps" but the trout would not take the bait. Next cast, same thing........but as I was quickly reeling in the last 10 yards of line...bamb.

Next cast I tried a fast retrieve.....bamb. Again. You have to change up how you fish a bait to find how the trout want to feed that day.
