I have an 8' beach umbrella stored in my deck. I just put in in the rod holder on the console if I need some shade. You obviously can't run with it but its better than having something in the way if you don't need it. To me t-tops take away half your fishing space even on a 24' boat.

I only use my bimini top when I have my kids in the boat or if a summer storm pops up. If you get the slides put on the bimini it really takes up very little space on the back deck.
