Alan Matthieu (337-781-3411). Montauk's Dad. Specializes in Yamahas. He will go to your house and work on your boat and usually gets to me a week or so after I call him. Not the cheapest but you know the saying...

We offer cheap, timely, and quality labor. You can have two out of the three!

Alan offers the last two.

I've posted on here with the issues before. Basically, engine was starting up on the water, running fine for 5-10 min, then would sound like it's running out of gas. I would would start it up again, only for it to sound like it was reving up so high, it was about to blow up. I did a carb kit on it, and it ran great on the ears in the yard, but when brought to launch, it would start up, but as soon as i put it in gear, the motor would die out. Repeated this 6-7 times, then loaded it up and brought back to house and hooked up ears, and it ran great. I put it in forward and reverse and it ran perfect. I haven't checked the checked the compression, but plan on doing so soon. I appreciate all the feed back you guys have given.

I doubt he would want to pay for him to drive to sulphur to work on it.
