I would say with paint, thinner, sandpaper, decals and HVLP spray gun I am in it about $150. I did some research on the matte black hot rod finishes and found a lot of the Hotrodders use John Deere Blitz Black. So that is what I went with. Deere uses it on their tractor frames. It is an enamel with UV inhibitors.
It is a very tough paint.
