I've broke a few and had some with no issue. The aftermarket plugs dont have crimped on thread rings so they solved that problem. Dont see why ford thought the spark plug needed to be re-engineered. It had been working perfectly before they F'd with it. Its not just a ford issue though. It seems that no matter the brand name there is an engineer wanting to design some dumb sheet stuff. I see it everyday and im like "what the F were they thinking when they did this?"

I feel your pain and know it first hand as I'm an autobody tech/mech. If you think domestic engineers come up with some crap, you should try your luck with some german engineering that I face on a weekly basis.

To hell with that bro. We work on a few of them that belong to good customers and I hate every minute of it. If someone has a nazi car and they arent a regular customer we send them to the shop in town that specialises in them.

Ford is a nightmare in the collision world! To work on them, simply get every socket and wrench you own nearby because, you're gonna need it! I swear their engineers are bored with it comes to designing the bolt up aspects of their vehicles!
