It sure is a learning process knowing what rigs produce and on the rigs that produce, where the sweet spots are. Some times it like a dang bream bed, you have to throw your bait in one little spot to catch, others you can catch in a huge circle, but that circle may be 100yds off the platform.

Exactly what we are doing. It has been a pretty long curve fishing weekends only but we have tricks and resources such as a work GIS program with plats and maps of half the GOM that I can access when I have free time.

Now that's down right un-fair! We use to have a telescoping pole that we would jab along the bottom to find the hard spots!

yep, that is exactly what I wrote but erased. Too many people see you in the middle of no where and make a beeline for you.

I will def think about acting like I am having boat troubles nex time that happens, lol...
