Bring every ice chest that you can get your hands on, then continue looking for more!
If you get into the fish good those chests will fill up fast and you don't want to have to be looking to buy one in Venice. |

I would think a box of heavy duty trash bags could be use to "keep" fish in if more space is needed on the ride home.

Limit your alcohol.
Water proof clothing and extra clothing including shoes. Eat good meal the night before. Adequate rest the night before. Sun glasses. Lots of ice chest/coolers. |

Good suggestions. Make sure you bring a jacket. No matter what the temperature is forecast the run down the river is always cold this time of year. Go by west marine and pick up a pair of grundens gage series bibs. They are $60 and completely water and wind proof. |

Gotta keep tuna meat COLD COLD and dry. Don't want the water to saturate into the meat and wash off all of the oils in the meat. That is what gives it it's goodness!

Good to know! I'm guessing they pack it for you after cleaning? And I have some good bibs for bass fishing I'll be bringing meaux. How much meat can I expect to have? Like buy a small deep freezer for da house before I go type of haul? I know it depends on how we do, but just in case we do well.

Also, if ya'll are staying in Venice the night of the trip, which I recommend because that is too long of a day on the water to get in a vehicle and drive home, bring some supplies to eat some of the catch.
We usually bring supplies to make sushi and to pan fry some of the fish. Seasonings, olive oil, wasabi, soy sauce... I'm not sure if it's because you work up such an appetite from fishing all day or because the meat is so fresh. But, the best fish I have ever eaten is when we eat them the night they are caught. |
