plow it twice. once to break up the grass, then again to break up the small clumps that sprout in a couple weeks. You might spray the whole pasture with glyphosate before you plow if you like spraying stuff.

Probably going to try it this way. Going to more than likely section the pasture off and do it a section at a time. Keep enough graze able and work the rest.

try not to overgraze, because it will come back. Thats one of the benefits of a rotational grazing system is I give the other plants enough time to grow back and outcompete it. You might also try liming as smut grass tends to grow better in the acidic soils we normally have here. You might do a soil test first though.
