Time spent in 1 spot?

Most of the time i try to drift an area first . islands ,oyster reefs etc have folks casting out both sides of the boat to locate fish. start getting bit then set anchor (QUIETLY).
If you are fishing points then try to set up to drift into casting distance and see if you get bit before setting anchor. Use the trolling motor as little as possible .
If 3 - 4 of us are fishing and no one gets a bite then just move on to the next spot and try again.
If you are fishing a very small reef , rock pile or island you may have to anchor to fish it. Then no more than 15 min.
