My $0.02::
When I was brand new to BL I spent a lot of time going "man that guy ran right by me!" then one day I thought "well I'm in the middle of the ship channel, so I guess that's why." Granted, some folks just don't care at all, but I've had to learn to just deal with boats running close when I'm fishing a high traffic area, which is a lot lately since they're often deeper. If possible, avoid escalating the situation and just go on about your business.
