If the US Government would quit paying for phony patriotism, this wouldn't even be an issue.
You think these guys care to stand for it anyway? They do it because the league/teams are paid for the display. Before they started paying the league, the teams often didn't even come out of the locker room. Think about it...how many college games do you go to where it's played after the team is on the field?
