None

How many don't own a business, or aren't involved in the workings of a successful business, and are just spouting how the makers are greedy and overcharge????

Sounds like a bunch of liberal Occupiers that are mad they can't drop a hundo on a YF.
Goooh, if I had 100k to spend on a yellowfin I wouldn't do it. I am the least bit jealous of yellowfin owners. I'm willing to bet I have spent a lot more time on the water than you in just about every kind of bay boat out there. And you're right, I don't know the exact costs that yellowfin pays for everything and neither do you, but I promise you their profit margin is big. Take your shi* somewhere else.

Like I stated in previous posts, good for yellowfin, I would charge what they charge as well if I owned yellowfin. But I am definitely not "jealous i can't go drop a hundo on a yellowfin"

Interesting conversation. I have to honestly say I've caught more fish and possibly had better times fishing out of cheaper boats. Not that I wouldn't love to own a Yellowfin but the problem I have is justifying the expense. I think of all of the other things I could do with that money. As far as the quality of the build and the fit and finish that is never at doubt. Those boats the Yellowfins especially are light years ahead of any production boat.

Take what sh*t somewhere else? Don't like when someone doesn't agree with you?

I dont think shearwater and yellowfin can even be compared to one another. Shearwater is not even close to the league of a yellowfin.

No difference in quality when compared to a Sea Pro, no additional features, so it should be the same price.

I'm not butt hurt at all, just can't see myself ever spending 100 K on a bay boat. And no one ever said yellowfins don't have better quality features than other boats. All i'm saying is it doesn't cost near 100K to build a yellowfin. I can go buy a Porsche 911 for the money some people are paying for these boats.

it's in all the boats today.....bass, bay and off shore.......
I would argue that many many name brand boats are going to last the average Joe a lifetime........but who in the hell wants one boat for a lifetime?

Not many boats are "bad" these days, but some are damn well better.
It may very well not be construction, but primary design. The legendary Darris Allison has produced proprietry designs that will make a boat perform better and get better fuel milage. Should he give that away?? Hell no.

On top of that, guys are lined up to buy these 100K boats......it's incredible.
I had a conversation Saturday in Orange Beach with the guys selling Pursuit offshore hulls.......

They are rarely EVER financed.........guys walk in and stroke the check......

there are differences.......do those differences help you catch more fish?
Could be...later in the life of a hull, when hinges, wiring, lids and generally things start to fail........the "better" boat may still be on the water as opposed to in the shop.

Some are forgetting that most of those who purchase the YF and high end boats don't have to worry about the chedda. $100,000 to them is like $30,000 to the rest of us, YF & SCB have 12 month waits which is great. People will almost always spend money they don't have on rec toys. Heck, Prodrive and Gator-Tail also have 6 month waiting list so we should line them up for our scorn while we are going that way.
Saying you could buy a 911 for YF money just means your priorities are different but its the same argument just with a car. I would get the SC 4, it drives like a dream.
