Sharp blades are the key to longevity in any electrical k-nife.

If you get one of the small diamond hook sharpeners that looks like an ink pen ,you can use it to sharpen serrated blades from your electric knife.

My rapala was the bomb. Until she got wet a few times and the blades went dull.. She lasted around 3 years of hard labor.

Yeh it works great. Even comes in a handy little plastic case rather than that ole crappy bag the Mister Twisters come in and had extra set of blades.

We all use Hamilton Beach from wal-marts. Use the blades they come with for trout and Mister Twister 7" blades for reds. I can promise you, you will not find a better combination. Trust me, I know. I go through 15 a year.

pretty much all the electric filet knifes suck! the mr twister has a switch that burns up and if you can replace that switch everytime you could have a knife that last a while. I use the Mr. Twister on trout but everything else I use a gerber filet knife which I like. I'm probably gonna get a dexter pretty soon.
